MALAYSIAN CONSTRUCTION LABOUR WAGES RATES SURVEY, PHASE 2/2020 – JULY 2020
We are pleased to inform that MBAM and CIDB Malaysia are collaborating for the ninth consecutive year to conduct the “Malaysian Construction Labour Wages Rates Survey”. The objective of this survey is to gather data on average wages rate of construction workers in Malaysia on a regular basis. These data would serve as information/reference to assist industry players by using up-to date data for estimation of tender cost, policies reference, etc. as well as for the benefit of the construction industry as a whole.
We would like to invite your company to participate representing the states of Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Perak, Melaka, Johor and Pahang for Phase 2/2020 (as of July 2020) wages survey. Enclosed is a set of the survey forms to be completed by your company. All information provided will be treated strictly as private and confidential.
All participants will be awarded a certificate of appreciation and 5 CCD Points. In addition, for the first 58 participants (on a first come first serve basis) who provide 100% complete data will be rewarded with:
- RM100 Training Voucher, OR
- RM100 AEON/KFC Voucher
Participant can provide data/information based on:
- Rate of wages paid to workers currently under your employment or,
- Rate of wages paid by your sub-contractors / suppliers / machine rental or,
- Based on your knowledge on the current market rate paid or,
- Based on the rate that you are willing / ready to pay.
Besides, we would also like to collect the following information from your company:
- Problems faced in the construction industry
- Shortage/Surplus of construction labour, which state?
