REMINDER: CIDB ACCREDITATION OF SITE SUPERVISORS
We wish to highlight that members who have yet to accredit their “Site Supervisor” and “Skilled Worker” are urged to obtain accreditation from the Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB) soonest possible to avoid penalty when enforcement action is carried out at your construction site. Under the Clause 33A of the CIDB Act 2011, it is stated that any parties who failed to accredit their site supervisors or hire non-accredited construction skilled workers can be fined not more than RM5,000.00 per worker.
Members may select one of the following method to accredit your “Site Supervisor”:-
- Training Session
- Assessment
- Interview Session
We strongly advise members to send your site supervisor for accreditation via ASSESSMENT or INTERVIEW SESSION by CIDB Malaysia as it is currently more cost and time effective compared to accreditation via training. The fee is RM250.00 per person for each assessment or interview session.
Please submit the COMPLETED registration form together with relevant attachments (hard copies) to the respective CIDB State Office. Should you have any queries, feel free to contact MBAM Senior Manager, Ms Chai Min Fung at mbam06@mbam.org.my
Important note:
- Please be informed that only completed application form with necessary supporting documents will be contacted by CIDB for an interview session.
- Kindly state your “trade” (Civil & Structural, Building & Architectural, Mechanical or Electrical) for the interview. One trade per application only.
- Payment must be made by credit/debit card or bank draft (pay to CIDB Malaysia) at CIDB State Office before the assessment or interview session.
- CIDB will also consider in-house interview session if there are adequate number of site supervisors from one company.
