INVITATION TO MBAM STUDY VISIT TO JOHOR BAHRU-SINGAPORE RTS LINK PROJECTS
We are pleased to inform that Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM), in collaboration with IJM Corporation Berhad and Sunway Group is is pleased to invite members and industry stakeholders to participate in a Study Visit to the Johor Bahru–Singapore RTS Link Projects on 9th September 2026 (Wednesday).
The Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link is a landmark 4km cross-border rail project connecting Bukit Chagar, Johor Bahru and Woodlands North, Singapore. The project is expected to significantly enhance connectivity between Malaysia and Singapore while showcasing innovative engineering and transit-oriented development practices.
This study visit will provide participants with firsthand exposure to the RTS Link’s construction progress, advanced engineering solutions, and the integrated developments supporting the project.
Participants will have the opportunity to see:
- The construction progress of the Johor Bahru–Singapore RTS Link.
- Innovative engineering and construction methodologies adopted in the project.
- Transit-oriented development (TOD) initiatives supporting regional growth.
- The role of the RTS Link in strengthening cross-border connectivity and economic integration.
During the visit, participants will be taken on guided site tours of the following key project locations:
- IJM Construction Sdn Bhd – ICQ Complex, RTS
- Sunway Integrated Properties Sdn Bhd – Transit-Oriented Development (TOD)
The TOD project is set to become a key catalyst for the growth of the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) and the broader regional economy.
