[INFORMATION NOTICE]: SOP ON ADVERTISING, ONLINE SALE OF TENDER DOCUMENTS AND TENDER CLOSING IN THE NEW NORMAL

Sharing of information from the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR) on the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) on Advertising, Online Sale of Tender Documents and Tender Closing in the New Normal is already in effect from now until 31 August 2021.

To support the Government’s efforts to revitalise the economy affected by the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO), JKR has started implementing online tenders for consultants via open tender and pre-qualification open tenders. In an effort to adapt to the new norm while ensuring that service delivery can be delivered effectively, the initiative has been improved to ensure that the Government’s procurement process can continue with the practice of new norm.

The SOP is a guideline for online tender procedures which includes the process of advertising, sale and closing of tenders. The implementation of online job tenders is for all projects tendered during the MCO period either conventionally or Design and Build.
