THE PROPOSED EXPANSION OF TENDER DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT WORKS PROCUREMENT
The above matter refers.
The Government intends to implement a Tender Deposit requirement for all Government works procurement valued at RM10 million and above under the purview of the Public Works Department (JKR) Malaysia.
The Government remains open to determining the amount of the Tender Deposit to be imposed. For existing Facilities Management and Maintenance projects, the following flat-rate amounts shall apply as follows:
| Estimation of Tender Amount (RM) | Bon Rate/ Tender Deposit (RM) |
| Exceeding RM 10 million to RM 20 million | RM 100,000 |
| Exceeding RM 20 million to RM 50 million | RM 200,000 |
| Exceeding RM 50 million to RM 100 million | RM 300,000 |
| Exceeding RM 100 million to RM 200 million | RM 400,000 |
| Exceeding RM 200 million | RM 500,000 |
