SELF-DECLARATION ON WORKERS ACCOMMODATION DETAILS UNDER THE ACT 446

MBAM would like to remind Members that under the requirement of Section 24E of the Workers’ Minimum Standards of Housing and Amenities Act 1990 (Act 446), all employers who are providing accommodation to their workers are required to notify the Department of Labour (JTK) on the living condition of their accommodation. Any offences to the Act will be compounded not more than RM10,000.00.

Members are urged to complete the enclosed form ‘Self-Declaration Penginapan Pekerja Di Bawah Seksyen 24E Akta 446” should you have not done so and submit to the nearest Department of Labour State Office or by email to jtksm@mohr.gov.my. Further information is also available at www.jtksm.gov.my
