REQUEST FOR FEEDBACK ON THE IMPACT OF CORONA VIRUS DISEASE 19 (COVID-19) TO THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY/ECONOMY

As you are aware, the recent Corona Virus Disease 19 (COVID-19) outbreak has impacted business operations globally, including Malaysia. Further to this, a consultation session with the representatives of the industries was held on 11 February 2020 by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) to discuss on the trade impact of the outbreak to Malaysia.

Thus, to help the construction industry, Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM) is taking initiative to seek member’s assistance to provide feedback and suggestion on the assessment of economic impact to the construction industry and propose mitigating measures for Ministry of Finance (MOF) and Ministry of Economic Affairs (MEA)’s consideration. The feedback will be gathered and presented by the Ministry to The Cabinet of Malaysia.
