NOTIFICATION OF RESTRUCTURING AND SPECIFICATION OF FACILITY CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION CONDITIONS
Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB Malaysia) has requested Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM) to inform members regarding the restructuring and specification of facility contractor registration conditions.
Please be informed that all contractors, whether local or foreign, must be registered with the Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB) under Section 25 of Act 520 (Amendment 2011) before undertaking and completing any construction works in Malaysia. Any contractor who contravenes Section 25 on conviction shall be liable to a fine of not less than ten thousand ringgit but not more than one hundred thousand ringgit.
Contractors who apply to be registered are required to refer to the Contractor Registration Requirements and Procedures as well as meet the conditions stated before making an application. The restructuring of conditions for the registration of Facility Contractors will begin to be implemented effective 1st June 2024.
