Greetings to all MBAM members, affiliates, and industry partners.

August is an exciting month for MBAM as we continue to strengthen industry collaboration and champion innovation in Malaysia’s construction sector. As the newly elected Council embarks on its 2026–2028 term, we remain committed to advocating for our members’ interests while working closely with government agencies and industry stakeholders to address key issues such as workforce sustainability, regulatory improvements, occupational safety and health, and digital transformation.

A key highlight this month is the 12th MBAM OneBuild Exhibition 2026, taking place from 5th to 7th August 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). Themed “Smart Cities, Building Tomorrow,” the exhibition, together with the co-located OneWare Exhibition, will showcase the latest construction technologies, sustainable building solutions, BIM, artificial intelligence, and smart infrastructure. We are honoured that the event will be officially opened by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Works, YBhg Dato’ Seri Azman bin Ibrahim, and we look forward to welcoming members and industry players from Malaysia and abroad.

As we continue navigating an evolving business landscape, I encourage all members to embrace innovation, strengthen collaboration, and invest in developing a future-ready workforce. On behalf of MBAM, I sincerely thank all our members, partners, and stakeholders for your continued support. Together, let us build a stronger, smarter, and more sustainable construction industry.

Before I conclude this month’s message, I would like to wish Selamat Hari Merdeka to all our members and industry partners. Our beloved country has marked its 69th Anniversary of independence this year, which showcased how resilient we are when we are together in unity. I hope that we continue this momentum to build a prouder and stronger Malaysia.
