COVID-19 SCREENING PROGRAMME FOR FOREIGN WORKERS USING ANTIGEN RTK METHOD IN SELANGOR STATE, WP KUALA LUMPUR, NEGERI SEMBILAN, PENANG, SABAH AND WP LABUAN
Please be informed, SOCSO will implement COVID-19 screening for all foreign workers who contribute to SOCSO and work in Selangor, the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Labuan, Negeri Sembilan, Penang and Sabah. This screening programme will be carried out targeted based on the red zone locality which has a high density of foreign workers.
This screening test is conducted in collaboration with private clinics and hospitals on a scheduled and phased basis with a focus on high-risk districts, starting December 1, 2020 .
The following is the schedule for the implementation of regular screening tests in the identified districts:
- Klang and Seremban Districts starting on 1 December 2020;
- Other red zone districts in Selangor, WP Kuala Lumpur and Penang starting on 9 December 2020;
- The entire State of Sabah, WP Labuan and other districts in the states of Selangor, Penang and Negeri Sembilan will start on 16 December 2020.
This screening test will use the RTK Antigen method approved by the Ministry of Health Malaysia and the test kit will be funded by SOCSO. Employers only need to pay the cost of services charged by the clinic or hospital. For foreign workers who are not SOCSO contributors, the screening cost must be fully borne by the employer.

Meanwhile, the Subsidy applications for RT-PCR screening tests are only allowed for RT-PCR screening tests conducted on or before 30 November 2020. Any subsidy application for RT-PCR screening test conducted after 30 November 2020 will not be processed.
Employers can submit a subsidy application through the Prihatin Screening Subsidy Portal ( https://ssp.perkeso.gov.my/ ) by submitting a payment receipt stating the type of test and the name of the employee who underwent the screening as well as the screening results. SOCSO will make a subsidy repayment of up to RM150.00 for each employee who has undergone the COVID-19 screening.
