COMPULSORY EMPLOYER SURVEY – REVIEW OF THE MINIMUM WAGES ORDER (MWO) 2024: EXTENDED DEADLINE AND SUBMISSION OF DETAILED INFORMATION FOR TWO (2) WORKERS

The Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA) through the National Wages Consultative Council (NWCC), is undertaking the Review of the Minimum Wages Order 2024 (MWO 2024) to collect labour market employment information. This study is conducted according to Section 25 of the National Wages Consultative Council Act 2011 [Act 732].

In line with Section 3 of the Employment Information Act 1953 [Act 159], employers are required to complete the attached survey form for the Review of MWO 2024. The information you provide will remain confidential and be used solely for the study. The completed survey forms must be returned to the NWCC. The deadline for submission has been extended to 10 July 2026 (Friday). Failure to complete and return the form constitutes an offence under Act 159 and, upon conviction, may result in a fine of RM2,000.

Employers are required to complete and return the survey forms either online via the provided link: –

Employer must select at least two (2) employees earning around the minimum wage level to complete the Employee Survey Form via the following link:

Category 1: Worker whose basic salary was increased to RM1,700 due to the implementation of Perintah Gaji Minimum (PGM) 2024; and

Category 2: Worker with a basic salary of RM1,700 or more at the time of the implementation of Perintah Gaji Minimum (PGM) 2024.

If no worker falls under Category 1, employers are required to select and provide detailed information for two (2) workers from Category 2 in order to proceed, and vice versa.
