ANNOUNCEMENT OF OFFICE BEARERS FOLLOWING 72ND MBAM AGM: MR KENNETH LIEW KIAM WOON ELECTED AS NEW MBAM PRESIDENT FOR TERM 2026-2028
Subang Jaya, 23 June 2026 – Mr Kenneth Liew Kiam Woon, Managing Director of LFE Corporation Berhad and LFE Engineering Sdn Bhd, has been elected as the President of Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM) for the term commencing 20 June 2026. The 72nd MBAM Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on 20 June 2026 where 26 Council Members were elected followed by the election of MBAM Principal Office Bearers on the same day.
Mr Kenneth Liew Kiam Woon was appointed as Executive Director of LFE Engineering Sdn Bhd (“LFE”) on 15 September 2003 and was subsequently re-designated as Managing Director on 28 September 2010. He sits on the boards of LFE Corporation Berhad and is a member of the Remuneration Committee. Mr Kenneth Liew Kiam Woon has accumulated 36 years of experience in Malaysia’s construction industry, with a strong focus on the mechanical and electrical (M&E) sector. His career reflects steady progression from project coordination to executive leadership, supported by both academic and technical qualifications. He graduated from the University of Oregon, USA in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, and further strengthened his technical foundation by completing an electrical engineering course conducted by the Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia.
On 20 June 2026, Mr Kenneth assumed the role of President of the Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM), marking the latest milestone in his long-standing service to the Association since 2002. Prior to this, he served as Deputy President (2022–2026), Vice President (2020–2022), and Treasurer-General (2016–2020). His leadership has been pivotal in strengthening MBAM’s governance, advancing sustainability, and promoting technical excellence across the industry.
He has chaired key committees, including the Mechanical & Electrical Committee and the Environment, Green Technology & Sustainability Committee, where he has championed initiatives to raise standards and embed sustainable practices. He also provided financial stewardship as Chairman of the Finance Committee (2016–2020) and later as a committee member until 2024.
Beyond committee work, Mr Kenneth has played central roles in MBAM’s flagship events, serving as Organising Chairman of the 52nd Anniversary Dinner (2006) and 71st MBAM Anniversary Dinner (2025). His international representation includes serving as Council Member of the ASEAN Constructors Federation (2020). He was also involved in the International Federation of Asian & Western Pacific Contractors’ Associations (IFAWPCA) and has attended 8 conventions and involved in the Education & Human Resources (EDU/ HR) and Builders Award Committees since 2005. He has also lent his expertise as a Judge for the Construction Industry Trade Awards (2019–2021), underscoring his experience in the Mechanical & Electrical sector.
Since 2022, Mr Kenneth has also served as a Board Member of the Construction Labour Exchange Centre Berhad (CLAB), contributing to workforce development and labour management in Malaysia’s construction sector.
Through his qualifications, technical training, and extensive MBAM leadership, Mr Kenneth has consistently demonstrated a commitment to advancing Malaysia’s construction industry. His dual contributions to MBAM and CLAB highlight his vision for collaboration, sustainable growth, and workforce development, making him a key figure in shaping the future of the sector.

On the same day, Mr Kenneth appointed Makna Setia Sdn Bhd and Ong Brothers Petroleum to join MBAM Council for the term June 2026 to June 2028.
