EMPLOYERS NEED TO ADVERTISE VACANCIES AT MYFUTUREJOBS FOR RECRUITMENT OF FOREIGN WORKERS AND EMPLOYMENT OF EXPATRIATE WITH EFFECT FROM 1ST NOVEMBER 2020

We wish to inform you that the Minister of Human Resources on 26th October 2020 has released a press statement on the above mentioned matter.

With effect from 1st November 2020, all employers who intend to employ foreign workers through the re-hiring programme and also the hiring of expatriate application are required to advertise the job vacancy first on the national job portal, MYFutureJobs. The advertise of job vacancy at MYFutureJobs must be not less than 14 days for the re-hiring program of foreign workers (existing in the country) and 30 days for the application of expatriate.

This will be followed by an interview session with the representatives of employers and agencies of the Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR), which is the Social Security Organization (SOCSO). Information such as job title, salary offered, academic qualifications or required skills and competencies must be displayed on MYFutureJobs. At the same time, employers are also required to register and apply through the Sistem Pengurusan Pekerja Asing Bersepadu (ePPAX) as a condition of compliance with labour laws for the employment of non-citizen workers.

With effect from 1st November 2020 as well, any employers and employees who use JobsMalaysia will be re-directed to the MYFutureJobs portal. This is to make MYFutureJobs as the only platform or single window for the Ministry of Human Resources to monitor job matching involving local employee. It is also to ensure that the priority of employment opportunities are given to Malaysian. Applications for foreign workers or expatriate will only be considered if there are no Malaysians interested in applying for the relevant position.
