GENERAL REVIEW OF THE DRAFT “GREEN RATING FOR RESIDENTIAL AND NON-RESIDENTIAL BUILDING FACILITIES”
This circular is to inform interested parties that JKR in collaboration with SIRIM Berhad is in the process of developing the industry standard “Green Rating for residential and non-residential building facilities”. This standard was developed to provide guidelines for construction industry players to assess the sustainability of a building project, provide a comprehensive and appropriate strategy towards sustainable project implementation, create awareness and promote sustainable development and provide guidelines for all parties involved with green rating.
The preparation of the draft has been made in collaboration with the project committee set up at SIRIM STS Sdn Bhd represented by organisations directly involved with the scope of the draft. For review, this draft can be downloaded starting from January 4, 2019 to March 4, 2019 via the following link:

The Green Rating Standards emphasize seven key areas of sustainability planning and management, energy efficiency management, resource and material management, water use efficiency management, internal environmental quality management, sustainable facility management and innovation in design.
