With the current Covid-19 pandemic affecting the social activities, economy and workforce in Malaysia, Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM) in collaboration with CIDB Malaysia under PRIHATIN BUDGET 2020 is taking the initiative to help affected individual/construction personnel by providing a Certified Site Supervisor (CSS) Training Programme – Building & Architecture and Construction Industry Apprenticeship Programme.

As such, MBAM is seeking the support and cooperation of MBAM Members to take advantage of this initiative as the training programme will be fully subsidized by CIDB Malaysia.

The requirements for the trainee to attend the CSS Training Programme – Building & Architecture under CIDB PRIHATIN BUDGET 2020, limited to 25pax are as follow:

  • Employed Construction Workers for Up-skilling
  • Diploma / Degree Graduates age 35 and below to undergo training and assessment plus placement for Construction Industry Apprenticeship Programme.

Upon completion of the training programme and passed the assessment, each trainee with result passed as COMPETENT will receive a Sijil Kompetensi Kemahiran Pembinaan (SKKP) issued by CIDB Malaysia. Trainee with NOT COMPETENT result may repeat the training at his/her own cost. However, they are allowed to participate in the Construction Industry Apprenticeship Programme.

Those trainees who did not fulfil the minimum accreditation requirements but have attended the training and passed the assessment will be issued a Sijil Kompetensi Kemahiran Pembinaan (SKKP) Sementara. All trainees who have attended the full training will be issued a Certificate of Attendance by MBAM.

A training allowance of RM500.00 will be given to each trainee upon completion of the full 12 days training. Thereafter, the trainee will be placed under the Construction Industry Apprenticeship Programme for 3 months with a construction company with an allowance of RM 1,000.00 per month.
