URGENT FEEDBACK REQUEST FROM MBAM MEMBERS ON HOW CONSTRUCTION PROJECT CAN CONTINUE WORK AFTER THE MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER (MCO) IS LIFTED
Master Builder Association Malaysia (MBAM) would like to obtain urgent feedback from MBAM members the above subject matter to feedback to Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB). CIDB has been tasked to prepare a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to allow for construction projects to operate after MCO is lifted. However, the Government is in the opinion that not all projects can be allowed to operate fully after MCO is lifted. As such, Government is looking at the options of opening up construction sites based on:
- Partial Opening
- Fully Opening
On this note, we would like to get inputs from MBAM members on the followings:
- Type of projects to be allowed to operate either as partially or fully.
- What are the criteria needed to allow site to operate partially or fully?
- Suggestion for SOP from submission of application until approval as well as monitoring of activities. SOP need to address health issues such as social distancing, hand washing, etc.
We hope members can provide feedback as per form enclosed to MBAM for us to consolidate a reply to send to the Government on/before 11.00 AM, Sunday, 5th April 2020. Please email the feedback to Mr Lenny Lim, MBAM General Manager by e-mail to mbam01@mbam.org.my. For further enquiries, you may also call Mr Lenny Lim at +6012-6205377. We apologise for the short notice.
