IMPLEMENTATION OF INTEGRITY IN GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT

IMPLEMENTATION OF INTEGRITY IN GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT

The Ministry of Finance (MOF) has updated and improved on the guidelines in relation to integrity implementation in Government Procurement. The improvements are made in line with the National Anti-Corruption Plan (NACP) 2019-2023 where it introduces a very comprehensive policy on the declaration of personal conflict of interest during the procurement process.

In order to implement this initiative, the Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB) has been entrusted by the MOF to inform contractors and to provide a platform in the Centralised Information Management System (CIMS) on this matter so that contractors will understand and be aware on the implementation of the Integrity Pact clearly. As such, effective 1 April 2022, all contractors must sign the “Surat Akuan Syarikat’ when submitting new applications and the “Pembaharuan   Perakuan Pendaftaran Kontraktor (PPK) in the CIMS. If the contractor fails to complete and sign the “Surat Akuan Syarikat, the application is deemed incomplete.
