NATIONAL COVID-19 IMMUNISATION PROGRAMME FOR THE ECONOMIC SECTOR

Sharing of information from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).

As we are aware, the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme was launched on 24 February 2021 which covers three (3) phases according to the target group as follows:

• Phase 1 (February – May 2021) – vaccines for frontline personnel;
• Phase 2 (April – August 2021) – vaccines for high-risk groups such as the elderly and patients with comorbid diseases; and
• Phase 3 (May 2021 – February 2022) – vaccines for categories other than Phase 1 & 2.

To help achieve the Government’s effort to create herd immunity, MITI is encouraging employees of companies in respective industries to register voluntarily for the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme.

In this regard, MITI seeks the cooperation of companies to help coordinate the information that at least 80% of company employees (local and foreign) have voluntarily registered for immunisation through the MySejahtera application or website http://www.vaksincovid.gov.my/daftar_vaksin.html

This information is intended to facilitate the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) in the implementation of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme.

Companies are required to submit information by filling in the Microsoft Excel template and send to Puan Norafizah Mohd Riza, (norafizahm@miti.gov.my); Puan Hazel Lo Moong Hua, (hazel@miti.gov.my) and Encik Fahd Jamaludin, (fahd@miti.gov.my) before 19 March 2021 (Friday).

Note: The name list should only list employees who have voluntarily registered.
