Latest Information Regarding the Management of Bringing in Foreign Workers
During the Committee Meeting with Ministry of Home Affairs together with Ministry of Human Resources on 16 January 2024, the management of bringing in Foreign Workers was decided as follows:

- Application of Visa with Reference (VDR) by employers who have a balance of active quota needs to be submitted before 31 March 2024.
- Levy that has been paid but for which VDR has not been issued will be canceled after 31 March 2024.
- The deadline for the entry of foreign workers for active quota that is still active is 31 May 2024.
In accordance with the termination of Malaysia Visa Application Handling Agencies (APPVM) in Bangladesh on 1 January 2024, The Visa, Passport, and Permit Division have implemented eVisa applications for foreign workers (Bangladeshi nationals) through employers in Malaysia.

- Allows employers in Malaysia to access the system MYVISA directly without going through APPVM.
- Application limited to Bangladeshi nationals based on the number on the VDR reference letter and company registration number (ROC).
- Active IDs and user manual had been distributed to employers via registered email in the myIMMs system since 29 February 2024.
- Applications of eVisa should be submitted no later than 17 May 2024 through the system, which is open during working hours.
MBAM issued a circular on the Survey on Foreign Workers Employment Quota on 26 February (Ref No: MBAM/25/01/2024/02/27/31) to request feedback and data from members who still hold an active quota balance. For members who have not yet completed the survey, we urge you to kindly provide feedback by 11 March 2024.
