GST REFUND CLAIMS

We wish to inform that the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) has recently released a statement on the above mentioned matter.

According to PEMUDAH, beginning from 14 September 2020 until 10 October 2020, RMCD had sent reminder notices to 18,337 registrants (22,817 claims) through email to obtain feedback for the desk review process. However, only 1,373 registrants (7.49%) had given their feedback. In addition, between October and November 2020, RMCD is tracing 1,198 registrants through email as well as site visits to latest addresses (If necessary).

In this connection, RMCD recommends that all members who still have not received their payments for their GST refund claims to contact the Operations Control and Refunds Branch at the RMCD Headquarters via email (refundgst@customs.gov.my) before the end of this year.
