Meeting with the Minister of Works Malaysia, YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi

On 4 April 2024, MBAM together with CIDB Malaysia Chairman, YB Ir. Haji Yusuf bin Haji Abd. Wahab met with the Minister of Works Malaysia, YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi.

The MBAM delegation presented on MBAM’s new building at Persiaran Harmoni, Putra Heights, Subang Jaya to the Minister.  This new building will not only showcase an IBS project but also utilize the new revised CIDB Form of Contract as a pilot project.  The building is fully designed and built by using digital construction [Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Industrialised Building System (IBS)].  

The MBAM new building will house the new Secretariat office for MBAM, MBAM Centre of Excellence as well as the CIDB Construction Mediation Centre under MBAM. 

MBAM intends to work closely with CIDB Malaysia to promote mediation services for the construction industry and to also conduct more relevant skills training for the sector.   MBAM as “The Prime Mover and The Recognised Voice of the Malaysian Construction Industry” will be able to assist and work together with CIDB Malaysia to promote our Malaysian construction industry locally and internationally. 

We also look forward to having closer collaboration with the Ministry of Works in the future.
