COVID-19 BOOSTER VACCINE – SPECIAL OFFER PACKAGE FOR MBAM MEMBERS
Further to the recent Government’s announcement that all are encouraged to take their booster vaccination to protect ourselves from the new Covid-19 variant in Malaysia. Those who took the Sinovac vaccine are encouraged to take their booster shot after 3 months whilst those who took the Pfizer or AZ vaccine are encouraged to take their booster shot after 6 months. The Government has announced on 16 December 2021 that it is advised that all Sinovac recipients must obtain their 3rd vaccine dose (booster shot) by February 2022 or they will no longer be considered “fully vaccinated”. This that your MySejahtera status will change from the yellow “Fully Vaccinated” status to white, “Not Fully Vacinated”, which will restrict the workers entry into areas like restaurants, shopping malls, stores, and more.
In view of this new development, we are pleased to inform members that MBAM has managed to source for the benefit of MBAM Members, Covid-19 booster shot service. For those who wish to take Pfizer the vaccine provided by the Government, the appointed vendor will apply for the vaccine from the government, subject to obtaining the Government’s approval, they will charge a service fee of RM30.00 per worker and the minimum pax to go to site is 50 pax. However, for those who wish to take Sinovac, the charge is RM99.00 as the vaccine need to be purchased. For less than 50 pax, the workers can go to the assigned clinic. For the moment, the available areas for on-site screening covers the Klang Valley (Selangor & Kuala Lumpur) and Negeri Sembilan. For other states, the minimum requirement to go to site is 80 pax. Further details and terms and conditions would be made available in due course to interested Members.
Kindly note that the Covid-19 booster packages shall be contracted directly between MBAM Members and the approved vendors. MBAM merely facilitates the contract for the provision of Covid-19 booster vaccine at the Members’ site by the approved vendors for the benefit of the Members.
