CIRCULAR ON COVID-19 CONSTRUCTION SECTOR VACCINATION PROGRAMME

The Ministry of Works, through the Construction Industry Development Board of Malaysia (CIDB) is offering the COVID-19 vaccination to 40,000 workers in the construction sector. Participation for this programme is on voluntary basis.

The vaccination charge that will be imposed is RM140 per person for 2 complete doses of vaccine injection. To alleviate the financial burden on the industry, CIDB will provide a subsidy of RM50 per employee and also offer CIDB premises as PPV for free. Thus, the employers in the construction sector only have to pay RM90 for each vaccinated worker.

The vaccination programme to be coordinated by CIDB will be implemented in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur on 30 June 2021 as well as the entire state of Selangor on 14 July 2021.
