NOTICE BY CIDB MALAYSIA DATED 11 MAY 2020
We are pleased to enclose herewith the notice by the Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB) dated 11 May 2020 for your information.
Please be informed that beginning 4th May 2020, all contractors MUST declare information on construction projects through CIDB Portal (http://cims.cidb.gov.my).
In relation to this, all provisions, obligations and responsibilities of contractor in compliance with Act 520 and other written laws applies.
In line with the new SOP of the Construction Sector released by the National Security Council (MKN), contractor must ensure all foreign workers and employers undergo COVID-19 screening test before being approved to commence work. This is to prevent the spread of outbreak on site especially in labour quarters.
Contractors are again advised not to break any instructions as ordered. Appropriate actions may be taken including actions on contractor registration such as suspension or revocation or blacklisted or penalties.
These instructions apply to all contractors including those who have obtained prior operating permission (during MCO1 to MCO4).
With this latest announcement, the previous announcement dated 4th May 2020 is void.
