FAQ RELATED TO CONDITIONAL MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER (CMCO) BY THE MINISTRY OF WORKS

We are pleased to enclose herewith the FAQ Related to Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) by the Ministry of Works dated 7 May 2020 for your information.

One of the FAQ that we wish to highlight is on item 9 as per the following:

Do I need to send my employees for a Covid-19 screening test before starting construction work?

All foreign workers and employers MUST go through the Covid-19 screening test and confirmed free from Covid-19 before being allowed to start work (applicable to all states except Selangor and Federal Territories).

Whereas for Selangor and the Federal Territories, the Covid-19 screening test is REQUIRED for all employees. Only workers confirmed free from Covid-19 are allowed to work.

Any employee suspected of having Covid-19 symptoms should immediately be separated and taken for Covid-19 screening.

Members are encouraged to adhere to the directives made by the Government.
